SALEM: The crew of a timber-laden lorry escaped unhurt when the lorry while negotiating a hairpin bend on Salem-Yercaud Ghat road overturned in the middle of the road near here on Thursday. Police said that the lorry heavily loaded with wooden logs was coming from the hill resort Yercaud. While nearing the fourth hair-pin bend on Ghat road, the driver of the lorry to avoid bus coming from Salem, steered sharply and lost control. The lorry fortunately overturned in the middle of the road causing no loss to any one. Both the driver and its cleaner escaped unhurt.
