Woman hurt in robbery bid

NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old woman sustained serious injuries during a robbery attempt at Gandhi Nagar here on Thursday.

According to the police, some unidentified men barged into a house in the afternoon when the woman was alone and beat her up. The woman was found lying unconscious when her husband returned from work in the evening. He runs a hairdressing saloon in Paharganj.

The victim has been admitted to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital and is not fit for statement. The police have not ruled out the possibility of criminal assault.
