Dasmunsi “Best Parliamentarian”

NEW DELHI: The former Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Priyaranjan Dasmunsi is the winner of the “Best Parliamentarian of the Year” Award for 2007.

The selection committee, headed by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee met on Thursday afternoon and selected Mr. Dasmunsi, who now holds charge of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Leader of the House in the Lok Sabha Pranab Mukherjee, Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh and journalist Neerja Chaudhary are among the members of the committee.
