THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: District Collector Sanjay Kaul will, on April 19, inaugurate the training programme for members of the disaster management team from the Kannanthura, Valiathura, Poonthura, Beemapally and Vettukad wards. The inaugural ceremony will be held at the Assumption Hall at Cheriathura. The programme is being jointly organised by the district administration and the Trivandrum Social Service Society and the training is being organised as part of the Urban Earthquake Vulnerability Reduction Package, a joint programme of the Centre, the State and the UNDP, a press note issued here said. The inaugural ceremony will be held at 10 a.m., the press note added.
