KADAPA: Forest officials seized three boats and one tonne of red sander logs worth of Rs. 1 lakh from Somasila backwaters near Old Madhavaram in Vontimitta mandal. Forest officials procured a mechanised boat from Sullurpet in Nellore district to curb the smuggling of red sanders stored in water and used it to make the seizure, the Kadapa DFO Subba Reddy said. -Special Correspondent
