PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry unit of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) urged the Education Department to take stern action on private schools for conducting written tests for admission to nursery classes. A release said the department had sent circulars to all schools regarding the Supreme Court order to stop conducting written tests for admission to nursery classes. Several private schools had violated the instructions, it added.
