SALEM: Members of the Jain Mission Society took out a procession here on Friday to mark Mahaveer Jayanthi. The procession, which begun at Sri Adeshwarji Temple, passed through important thoroughfares in the city including Muniappan Temple Street, Sevvapet, Fort Main Road, Lorry market, Ayyasamy Road, Langley Road, Arunachala Asari Road and Kitichipalayam Road before concluding at the Jain Bhavan in Narayana Nagar. Members from over 1,000 families participated. Special pujas were performed.
