Naidu to announce names at his yatra in Tirupati TDP expects Congress to leave Therlam to it HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Polit Bureau which met here on Friday finalised the list of most of the candidates for the coming byelections. Their names are likely to be declared by party president N. Chandrababu Naidu while launching his ‘mee kosam yatra’, from Tirupati on April 21. Barring five constituencies, Khairatabad, Musheerabad, Vikarabad, Siddipet and Yellareddy, the Polit Bureau is believed to have cleared all other names. Since the family members of former MLA, P. Janardhan Reddy (Khairatabad) whose death caused the byelections, too made a request to leave the seat to his son P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Mr. Naidu appears keen to oblige. But the TDP expects Congress to reciprocate by leaving Therlam in Vizianagaram to it. The TDP decided to field the son of Tentu Jayaprakash whose death caused the vacancy. Other candidates including seven former Ministers, reportedly cleared for the Assembly constituencies were Jadcherla- Yerra Sekhar, Secunderabad- Talasani Srinvas Yadav, Dommat- Cheruku Muthyam Reddy, Ramayampet- Mynepalli Hanumantha Rao, Dichpalli- Mandava Venkateswara Rao, Khanapur (ST) - Ramesh Rathod, Myadaram (SC) - Mallesh, Huzurabad- E. Peddi Reddy, Kamalapur- M. Damodar Reddy, Cheriyal- G. Venkateswarlu, Ghanpur (SC)- Kadiam Srihari and Alair (SC) -- M. Narasimhulu. The likely candidates from the four Lok Sabha constituencies are: Adilabad- S. Venugopalachary, Karimnagar- Sudhakar Rao who is now MLC or E. Dayakar Rao’s son-in-law, Madan Mohan Rao, Hanamkonda - Chada Suresh Reddy or Revuri Prakash Reddy and Warangal- E. Dayakar Rao or a Scheduled Tribe candidate.
