CPI(ML) faction to join CPI(M)
Staff Reporter
Kozhikode: A faction of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Red Flag led by State secretary K.T. Kunhikannan has decided to join the Communist Party of India (Marxist).
A decision to this effect was taken at a State convention of the faction at the Nalanda auditorium here on Friday. As many as 200 delegates participated in the convention. They also unanimously adopted a resolution declaring the faction’s intention to join the CPI(M) and support the policies and programmes of that party.
A political resolution of the faction stated that the Marxist-Leninist ideology had lost its relevance in the contemporary political scenario.
