VISAKHAPATNAM: The five-member Peer Committee of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) completed its inspection of Andhra University on Friday.
The team headed by Prof. Anand Dev Mukhopadyay visited all academic departments, the various centres and other places of academic activity during its four-day visit.
On the last day, it interacted with students and research scholars at the TLN Sabha Hall and inquired about the teaching, courses, the way the examinations were being conducted, delivery of scholarships, etc. The students and research scholars expressed their satisfaction with teaching and other facilities but said there was no much material available for them to prepare for the competitive examinations.
The Peer Committee could not visit the AU Post Graduate Centres. The Committee, before leaving Visakhapatnam, would meet on Saturday morning to review its visit and convey its impression to Vice-Chancellor L. Venugopal Reddy.
