Will oppose Trinamool bandh: Basu

Special Correspondent

KOLKATA: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) will oppose the 12-hour State-wide bandh called by the Trinamool Congress and its recent ally, the Socialist Unity Centre of India, on April 21.

“Our party will oppose the bandh that has been called by opportunist parties”, veteran Marxist leader Jyoti Basu, said here on Friday.

The bandh has been called in protest against the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities. Ms. Banerjee led a procession in the city in protest against price rise.
