PDP hits back at critics of proposal

Srinagar: Unfazed by the protests from the Opposition to its suggestion for allowing Pakistani currency in the Kashmir Valley, Jammu and Kashmir’s ruling alliance partner PDP said on Friday that if “representing the aspirations” of the people was a sin it would commit it again.

Finance Minister Tariq Hameed Karra said the reactions from the BJP, NC, Shiv Sena, and Panthers Party, labelling the PDP leadership “anti-national” should serve as an “eye-opener” for Kashmiris. — PTI
