Six artistes to get monthly assistance of Rs.1,000

PUDUKOTTAI: Six artistes living in penury have been sanctioned a monthly assistance of Rs.1,000 each. The beneficiaries are V. Karimuthu of Seiyalur Inam village; S. Kuzhandaivel of Namanasamuthiram; C. Chinnaiah of Gandarvakottai; D. Raju Pillai of Ambukovil; R. K. Subbiah of Tirumayam; K. Subramanian of Pudukottai town.

The assistance have been sanctioned with retrospective effect from April 2007.
