Staff Reporter
As chief superintendents for SSLC public examination valuation
PUDUKOTTAI: The Pudukottai district wing of the Tamil Nadu High and Higher Secondary School Graduate Teachers’ Association has urged the State Government to appoint senior Graduate Teachers as Chief Superintendents at the SSLC public examination valuation centres.
A resolution adopted to this effect said that the State Government should dispense with the procedure of appointment of Headmasters, who had not handled the subjects, as Chief Superintendents.
Another resolution pleaded for an increase in the valuation allowances and fix it at Rs.5 an answer-sheet against the present Rs.4.
Similarly, the allowance for the Camp Officer and Mark Verification Officer should be increased to Rs.1,000 and Rs.750 from the present Rs.750 and Rs.500 respectively.
The meeting, through a resolution, urged the Education Department to include the term of consolidated pay service of teachers between 1987 and 1989, for reckoning their seniority and promotional benefits.
It also wanted Saturday as a holiday for graduate teachers inducted as Block Resource Teacher Educators.
The District president of the Association D. Ramamoorthy presided over the meeting.
The District Treasurer A. Selvendran and the District secretary G. Jayabalan spoke.
