MYSORE: Seven persons died in three separate accidents in Mysore and Mandya districts on Friday. While five persons died in an accident near Hunsur, two persons died in a freak accident involving a tipper lorry and a truck at Nagarathhalli in Mandya district. Of the five persons who died in the accident near Hunsur, four were killed on the spot while Ganguly (12) died in hospital. The accident occurred around 10 km from Hunsur on the highway to K.R. Nagar, when a lorry collided with a jeep while negotiating a curve. The police said that the vehicle was carrying construction workers who were proceeding to attend a function. The names of other victims was given as Narayana, Channamma (70), Saraswathamma (48), while the identity of the driver was yet to be established. In another accident at Nagathahalli near Mandya, a lorry collided with a tipper truck that was parked beside the road at around 1 a.m. killing Vinay, cleaner of the lorry. Around 6 a.m. another lorry hit the same tipper killing the driver.
