Held for kidnapping minor girl

NEW DELHI: A 28-year-old man has been arrested by the Delhi police in Shimla on charges of kidnapping a minor girl from Shahdara here earlier this month. The girl has been handed over to her parents.

A resident of Noida, the accused took the girl away to Mussouri in his car. From there, they went to Solan and then to Shimla. On the way, the accused made ransom calls to the girl’s father, who is a farmer in Uttarakhand, demanding Rs.17 lakh to mislead the police, but he was tracked down and arrested.
