Tuticorin: The three-day Carnatic Music Festival organised by Venkatachalapathi Bhajan Sabha concluded here on Friday.

On the penultimate day, Nisha Rajagopal, a rising prodigy in Carnatic vocal, mesmerised the audience by rendering songs like ‘Ramanannubrovara…’ in Harikambodi raga and ‘Nagumomu…’ in Abheri raga.

Accompanied by Srikrishnan on the mridangam and Ananthakrishnan on the violin, she began the concert with a varnam in Karaharpriya raga.

Born in Canada to Indian parents, Ms. Rajagopal started rendering vocal concert with a glorious debut at Pittsburgh in United States of America in 1991.

The final day saw the concert by Lakshmi Rangarajan and her daughter, Subhiksha.
