45 inmates of remand home freed

Ranchi: The Baal Lok Adalat on Saturday freed 45 children lodged at Dumardaga remand home, about seven km from here, after they pleaded guilty.

Ranchi zonal judge Amareswar Sahay, who visited the remand home as the chief guest a function organised by the district legal authority, heard the children before setting them free.

The children had been in the remand home for periods ranging between two years and two months in connection with various juvenile offences like theft and assault cases.
