BHUBANESWAR: The State Social Welfare Board (SSWB) has decided to launch a 39-day-campaign against trafficking in girls in Boudh district from April 21. The SSWB would cover 25 districts while five coastal districts would be covered in June, Pravati Parida, chairperson of the SSWB, said here on Saturday. According to an estimate, Orissa ranked second in the country as far as volume of annual girls trafficking was concerned, Ms. Pardia said. The awareness programmes would include a larger section of society including police administration, voluntary organisations, citizens groups and media.
