Convention on communal amity today

Kozhikode: Shanti Maholsavam - 2008, a ‘convention for communal harmony’ organised by Brahma Kumaris Iswariya Vishwa Vidyalaya will be inaugurated by Mayor M. Bhaskaran on Sunday.

The Kozhikode beach venue has been readied for the occasion. The additional chief of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Dadi Hridaya Mohini will take part.

The convention comes after a month-long campaign that was flagged off by District Collector A. Jaythilak in Kozhikode on February 20.

The campaign covered the entire district. Sneha Yagam, a dance programme presented by Nritalaya — Chalappuram, and a music session featuring Biju Narayanan and Gayatri will also be held as curtain raiser to the Shanti Maholsav.
