NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be visiting Jamshedpur on April 22 to participate in the centenary celebrations of Tata Steel, a statement from the company said on Saturday. On his arrival at Jamshedpur, the Prime Minister will address a gathering at the JRD Sports Complex and launch a special postage stamp to mark the company’s centenary year, it added. “The Prime Minister’s visit to Jamshedpur adds immense value to the centenary celebrations of Tata Steel. It serves as a motivator and moral booster for the company to continue striving for India’s economic progress,” Tata Steel’s chief of corporate communications Sanjay Choudhry said. He said the Prime Minister’s visit would spur the company’s goal of expanding its capacity from five million tonnes to 35 million tonnes annually— PTI
