PUDUCHERRY: The Pondicherry Textile Mills Labour Union on Sunday urged the government to take immediate steps to remove anomalies in fixing the dearness allowance for workers and officers belonging to the Anglo-French Textile Mills. In a statement here, secretary of the union V.S.Abishekam said the union, through another resolution, also stressed the need for revising the wages in view of rising prices. Tripartite meetingThe union called for steps to convene the tripartite meeting to discuss issues relating to modernisation of the mills and installing new machines.
