Man knocked down by autorickshaw

A 65-year-old man died after being knocked down by an auto at Nadupatti near Vaiyampatti in the district on Sunday. Police identified the deceased as P. Andiyappan of Nadupatti.

The autorickshaw overtook a bus and hit Andiyappan who was standing on the road-side, police said. He was killed on the spot. The Vaiyampatti police have registered a case.
