Seven get lifer in separate cases

Hissar: Seven persons were awarded life imprisonment in two separate cases by two courts here on Sunday. Additional District and Sessions Judge of Hissar S.K. Kaushik sentenced three persons, Ram Chander Dahiya, his son Sandeep and Ashok, to life imprisonment for murdering one Naurang of Hisar on November 19, 2003. The court also imposed a fine of Rs.15,000 on each of them and in case of default of payment of fine, they would further undergo imprisonment for another six months each. The court also imposed a fine of Rs.2,500 on Ram Chander Dahiya under Arms Act.

In another case, Additional District and Sessions Judge Neena Choudhory sentenced four persons Dhan Singh, Satpal, Vinod and Mahabir alias Kalia to life imprisonment for murdering one Hanuman of Nalwa village on July 11, 2004. The judge also slapped a fine of Rs.5,000 on each of them.
