Seed farms inspected

VIRUDHUNAGAR: The Director of Seed Certification, S. Perumal, inspected the seed farms at Maharajapuram near Watrap on Wednesday.

He asked the Assistant Director of Seed certification, R. Narayanaprasad, to achieve the seed farms target of 877 hectare as well as seed production target of 698 tonnes. Farmers told him that they faced minimum yield loss because of weed infertation in Green gram seed farm following continuous showers in the past. — Staff Reporter
