Three killed in fire; 70 houses gutted

Sultanpur: A woman and two children were on Sunday killed and over 70 houses gutted in a fire that broke out in a hut at Dhapia village under Baltirai police circle here, police said. The fire spread throughout the village killing two children, a woman and a number of cattle. The district administration announced Rs.1 lakh compensation to the next of the kin of deceased. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. — PTI
