New courses in security services

New Delhi: In order to meet the demand for skilled manpower in the field of security services, the IGNOU will soon launch various training courses in collaboration with private security agencies. “In a joint venture with Security and Intelligence Services (SIS) India Ltd, we have decided to start certificate and diploma courses in security services which will take three months to become operational,” IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Rajasekharan (RPT Rajasekharan) Pillai said.

“The design and course module are likely to be finalised during the expert committee meeting scheduled for the first week of May.”

The university is also planning to offer study programmes at graduation and PG levels with the help of some other national and international agencies. -- PTI
