BELLARY: Bharatiya Janata Party MLC G. Janardhan Reddy has urged the Election Commission to order an inaquiry into Friday’s incident in Bellary where some people attacked Congress leader Anil Lad’s house and set on fire his cars, to find out the truth and bring the guilty to book. Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, Mr. Reddy said that he had sent a representation to the Election Commission in this regard. The commission could entrust the work of inquiring into the incident to any agency of its choice and publish the outcome before the elections, he said. DeniedDenying the charge that B. Sriramulu, BJP leader and former Minister, was involved in the incident, Mr. Reddy accusing the Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) of trying to gain political mileage by making levelling false charges against the BJP. “To tarnish the image of the BJP, the Congress candidate, as per the plans hatched by K.C. Kondaiah, MLC, torched his own vehicles and M. Diwakar Babu calling on Anil Lad immediately after the incident only indicates that all — Anil Lad, Kondaiah, Suryanarayan Reddy, former MLA, and Babu — were behind the incident,” he alleged.
