THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Dr.S. Edison, Director, Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (CTCRI) has been nominated member of the board of trustees of the International Potato Centre based at Lima, Peru. The potato centre is an organisation under the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and is run on the lines of the International Rice Research Institute, the Philippines. The nomination of Dr. Edison is another recognition for CTCRI which is the recipient of the Sardar Patel award for the outstanding ICAR institute. The cassava research at CTCRI also helped it bag an award from the Government of Brazil.
