MANGALORE: Canara Engineering College (CEC) organised ‘Innovate – 08’, a State-level technical paper presentation contest on its campus at Benjanapadavu near here on Saturday. It was a unified platform for interaction of undergraduate students across the State. P. Srinivas Raghavan, chairman, SAE-India, Bangalore section, who inaugurated the event urged the students to be innovative in their projects.The Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology – Karnataka, Srinivasnagar, T. P. Ashok Babu, chaired the paper presentation sessions and judged the event. In all, 11 students presented as many technical papers, a press release from the coordinator of the event Girish Hegde here stated. BOSCH, Bangalore, was the co-sponsor of the event.The honorary president of Canara High School Association U.S. Mohandas Nayak said the event was a good platform for interaction among students.
