Boy ends life over TV channel selection

A petty quarrel over selecting television channel led to the suicide of a school boy here on Sunday. The police said that R. Vijay (11) of Bethaniapuram and his younger brother, R. Ajay (8) were watching TV at home. When the latter changed the channel, Vijay objected to it that led to a wordy quarrel between the brothers.

Upset over the happening, Vijay consumed a chemical kept in the house. After a while, he fell unconscious and was declared dead when rushed to the Government Rajaji Hospital. The Karimedu police have registered a case.
