Lectures, quiz to mark Earth Day celebrations

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lectures, quiz and an open house for children are the highlights of the Earth Day celebrations organised by the Centre for Earth Science Studies (CESS) on April 22.

Executive vice-president of the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment E.P. Yasodharan will inaugurate the celebrations at 9.30 a.m. on CESS campus. CESS scientist S. Muralidas will speak on global warming and K.V. Thomas will speak on sea-level rise.

CESS Director M. Baba will address the students and distribute prizes to winners of the quiz event, a press note issued here said.
