300 graduates on a job hunt

Placement programme has been organised by KLES’ BBA college


Ten companies have confirmed participation

70 students got placement last year in big companies


HUBLI: Around three hundred final year students of various Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) colleges in North Karnataka are expected to participate in the four-day “Placement Programme” organised by KLE Society’s College of Business Administration in Hubli.

Addressing presspersons here on Monday, Director (Administration) of KLE Society, Belgaum, I.R. Neeli, and Principal of the college P.B. Roodagi said that as many as 10 reputed companies, including LG Limited, Met Life, Reliance Life Insurance, ICICI First Source, Max Newyork Life Insurance, Tata BPO and others had confirmed their participation in the event.

The event will be held from April 25 to April 28.

During the event, the companies would conduct various screening and assessment tests.

These would include subjects to test their aptitude, operational ability, communication skills and navigation test.

There will be a personal interview also and the candidates will be shortlisted accordingly, Dr. Roodagi said.

‘Help for students’

He said attending such programmes would help the students in understanding the requirements of the corporate sector and also to gain experience and confidence in appearing for interviews.

Previous year

He said that in a similar exercise organised last year, 70 students got placed in major companies including HDFC, Accenture, EXL and others.

Professor Neeli said that the institute had plans to hold coaching programmes for preparing the students for interviews. This would be especially for management students studying in semi-urban areas, and it would be implemented from the next academic year.
