Patna: The Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, on Monday directed the principal secretaries of Welfare, Health and Human Resources Development departments to come up with concrete proposals to improve the lot of sex workers of the State, particularly in Muzaffarpur district. ‘Janata darbar’A few sex workers visited the “janata darbar” of Mr. Kumar and narrated their woes following which the Chief Minister directed the secretaries to submit a detailed report as to how the conditions of sex workers operating at Chaturbhuj Asthan, a red light area in Muzaffarpur district and at other places, could be improved. The Chief Minister also heard the grievances of the sex workers of Sitamarhi district whose houses were burnt by animal traders a few days ago.
