Assembly resolution on OBC quota sought

PUDUCHERRY: Leader of the Pattali Makkal Katchi in Parliament M. Ramadass urged the Puducherry Legislative Assembly on Monday to debate the issue relating to providing 27 per cent reservation for the other backward classes in institutions of higher education.

In a statement here, he also said that the Assembly should pass a resolution asking the Centre to remove the creamy layer concept while providing reservation. — Staff Reporter
