Liquor seized

DAVANGERE: The Excise Department raided a Lambani Tanda in Honnali taluk on Sunday and destroyed 3,000 litres of illicit liquor stored along with 2,000 litres of jaggery wash, 158 litres of distilled liquor and 5,400 litres of duplicate liquor. Deputy Commissioner of Excise Tamboli told The Hindu here on Monday that four persons had been arrested in this regard and cases registered against them.
