Haryana per capita income on the rise
Special Correspondent
CHANDIGARH: Haryana has registered an increase of 14.76 per cent in per capita income during the past three years and it “continues to rank at the top in the country after Goa”, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda told media persons here on Monday.
He disclosed that Haryana’s per capita income had been pegged at Rs.56,280 at current prices.
Replying to a query, he hinted that the State Cabinet would be expanded after the May 22 by-elections from three State Assembly constituencies. He further disclosed that the Congress high command would select the candidates for the three by-elections and this process would begin on April 28.
Mr. Hooda denied reports that the State Government proposed to hire a private agency to assess the functioning of ministers.
