KOLAR: The Election Commission has appointed observers for various Assembly constituencies in Kolar and Chickballapur districts. Kolar district: B.K. Meena (Bangarpet-SC); Usha Titus (Srinivaspur); Kashmir Chand (Mulbagal-SC); Balbir Singh Sudan (Kolar Gold Fields-SC); Vinod Bihari Patnaik (Kolar); and Deva Pamapathy Reddy (Malur). Firoz Khan has been named the expenditure observer for KGF, Bangarpet and Malur segments, and Sunil Teted for Srinivaspur, Mulbagal and Kolar constituencies, according to a press release. Chickballapur district: Tulsi Gour (Bagepalli); Sushilkumar Negi (Sidlaghata); Sriramadas Meena (Gowribidanur); Gowri Singh (Chickballapur); and V.K. Sharma (Chintamani). Information centreAn information centre has been opened at the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Chickballapur for the convenience of political parties and the public. The telephone number of the centre is 08154-155212. According to Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer K. Subodh Yadav, the centre could be contacted to get information about voters or to file complaints on violation of the model code of conduct.
