Gurkirat’s effort in vain

NEW DELHI: An all-round performance by Gurkirat Singh (75 and three for 31) proved inadequate as Food Corporation of India (FCI) beat Mohali Cricket Association (MCA) by two wickets in the quarterfinals of the 18th all-India Om Nath Sood memorial cricket tournament at the Roshanara Club ground on Monday.

The scores: Mohali Cricket Association, Punjab 201 in 39.2 overs (Gurkirat Singh 75) lost to FCI 205 for eight in 39.2 overs.
