Vishnu Vardhan qualifies

NEW DELHI: National champion Vishnu Vardhan qualified for the main draw in the $15,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Taizhou, China.

The fourth-seeded Vishnu outplayed Chang Yu of China 6-4, 6-2 in the third and final qualifying round to make the grade. He had dropped only three games each in the first two rounds.

Vishnu will meet compatriot Ashutosh Singh in the first round of the main draw.
