Knockout tournament

Visakhpatnam: The Bhupathi Raju Football Club is conducting a knockout tournament at the GVMC stadium, Visakhapatman, from April 27.

Entries close on April 25 and are to be sent to club’s secretary M. Raja Rao at 26-15-23, Opposite Jagannadhaswamy Temple, Main Road, Visakhpatnam-1 (Ph: 99853 88317).

Easy for East Godavari

East Godavari defeated Guntur 32-19 in the final league match to emerge winner in the State-level invitational kabaddi tournament for men that concluded at the industrial expo at Swaraj Maidan on late Sunday night. East Godavari team won a cash prize of Rs. 8,000 while Guntur team pocketed Rs. 6,000.
