N. Venkateswara Rao VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Steel and Cement Dealers’ Association has appealed to the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to weed out middlemen by cancelling long-term contract (LTC) dealer system. Association president K. Ganesh and general secretary N. Venkateswara Rao said the VSP management had introduced the system without following any transparency and charged the middlemen with cornering huge margins. They said the LTC contractors were getting a margin of Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000 per tonne leaving a few rupees of profit to them and demanded awarding dealership to the association through a cooperative society.
