VISAKHAPATNAM: Electoral rolls must be thoroughly verified and all measures must be taken to prepare error-free voter lists, Electoral Special Commissioner D. Sambasiva Rao said at a review meeting held here on Monday. He also wanted the district administration to send proposals for appointment of Electoral Registration Officers, Assistant EROs, Registration Officers and Assistant ROs. While registering voters of the age of above 25 years, details of where they had resided in the past must be obtained and verified. Their names in the lists of places where they had stayed must be removed. In the case of those in the 18-25 years age group, their date of birth certificate must be verified. Collector Sanjay Kumar said review of work regarding electoral rolls would be done every Saturday. Joint Collector M. Veerabrahmaiah, Commissioner of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Mukhesh Kumar Meena, District Revenue Officer S. Satyanarayana, Revenue Divisional Officers Prabhakara Rao and Venkata Reddy, Tahsildars, EROs, Superintendent of Election Cell M. Madhusudhana Rao and other officials participated.
