Dead fish found in Amaravathy

KARUR: Thousands of dead fish that came afloat in the Amaravathy in the Pasupathypalayam area here on Saturday and Sunday.

The dead fish were found on a huge pool of stagnant water, as the river did not carry water at this part of the year.

People complained that the banks of the river were sources of contamination and breeding points for mosquitoes that invade the whole town.
