Krishna’s supporters block highway

MYSORE: Traffic on the busy Bangalore-Mysore highway was disrupted for over an hour after supporters of the former Chief Minister S.M. Krishna blocked the road near Maddur around 4.30 p.m. demanding that he should contest from Maddur. The protesters also set tyres on fire on the road to block traffic. They said they would launch a districtwide agitation if Mr. Krishna failed to announce his decision to contest by 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
