No ‘Bhoomi Puja’ invitation to TDP leader causes clash TDP, Congress file complaints against each other in 2005
MAHABUBNAGAR: TDLP deputy leader and Nagarkurnool MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy surrendered before local judicial first class magistrate Lal Singh Srinivas Naik at Kollapur on Tuesday in connection with a case filed on December 23, 2005 following a clash between TDP and Congress workers near Jonnalabogada in Peddakothapally mandal.
Case registered
A case was registered at Peddakothapally police station under sections 427, 435 and others. Later Janardhan Reddy was granted bail by the magistrate.Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Laxmaiah, and others came to Jonnalabogada to perform ‘Bhoomi Puja’ for construction of Kalwakurthy lift Irrigation scheme. The legislator of that segment Nagam Janardhan Reddy was not extended an invitation.
TDP workers led by TDLP deputy leader N. Janardhan Reddy, descended on the site.There were heated exchanges between workers of the two political parties.
The leaders of both parties lodged complaints against each other at Peddakothapally police station.
