Differences in TD on MCN affairs

Staff Reporter

NELLORE: After the Congress it was the turn of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to get itself exposed with regard to differences within the party on Municipal Corporation of Nellore (MCN) affairs.

When several corporators belonged to Congress staging an agitation protesting against Mayor P. Sailaja Reddy’s decision to lodge cases against three ruling party corporators during the budget meeting on Monday evening, TDP corporator Roop Kumar suddenly stood up and demanded that the Mayor should withdraw cases against corporators.

“It is a disgraceful incident for the council and in my opinion the Mayor should not have foisted cases against corporators.”
