Navagraha tour from Tirunallar introduced

KARAIKAL: The Puducherry Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has introduced a tour for pilgrims to visit the Navagraha shrines at various places located in Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts and also Tirunallar near here in the Union Territory of Puducherry.

The PTDC is conducting the tour by a special bus every Saturday from Tirunallar, the pilgrimage centre of Lord Saneeswara Bhagwan (Lord Saturn) at 5 a.m. and bring back the pilgrims to Tirunallar at 10 p.m. the same day. The fare is fixed at Rs.350 per person and advance booking can be done at PTDC in Tirunallar near here.

The pilgrims will be taken to Suriyanarkovil near Kumbakonam for darshan of Lord Surya Bhagwan (Sun God), to Thingalur near Thanjavur for worshipping Chandra Bhagwan (Moon), Vaitheeswarankovil (Lord Angaraka or Sevvai or Lord Mars), Tiruvengadu (Lord Budha or Lord Mercury)), Alangudi (Guru Bhagawan or Lord Jupiter) in Tiruvarur district , Kanjanur (Lord Sukra or called Lord Venus) near Mayiladuturai, Tirunageswaram (Lord Raghu Bhagwan) and Keezhaperumpallam (Kethu Bhagwan) near Poompuhar.

The first tour service was inaugurated by P.R. Siva, MLA of Tirunallar at Tirunallar on Saturday.
