Draft plans for fisheries

KOCHI: The preparation of a master plan for the fisheries sector has reached the final stages. The seven task forces appointed by the State government have prepared the draft plans in their respective areas. The draft plans will be discussed at a two-day conclave that will begin on April 25 at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute conference hall. Expert panels will review the presentations and the proposals will be consolidated on April 26. — Staff Reporter
