Cordiant in quarterfinals

KOCHI: Cordiant Sports Foundation (Ernakulam) and Cycle Brand Kids CC (Thiruvananthapuram) entered the quarterfinals of the 27th Coromandel Cements all-Kerala cricket tournament at the BPCL oval here on Tuesday.

In the pre-quarterfinals, Cordiant Sports Foundation defeated Fany Fabrics Challengers (Thrissur) by seven wickets and Cycle Brand Kids defeated Muthoot Ernakulam CC by 29 runs.

The scores: Fancy Fabrics Challengers CC 45 in 13.4 overs (C.P. Shahid five for three) lost to Cordiant Sports Foundation 46 for three in 5.5 overs.

Cycle Brand Kids CC 200 for seven in 30 overs (R. Aravind 41) bt Muthoot ECC 171 in 28.1 overs (C.G. Geethish 47).
